On-wards And Upwards For The Swiss Sports Brand

For the past month, On Running have been absolutely killing it. Scratch that. For the past year, On Running have been absolutely killing it. Nope. Since their inception 11 years ago, On Running have been absolutely killing it. There we go. But, this last month in particular, they’ve had their fair share of newsworthy moments.

The Cloudaway Travel Agency

Mid-August saw the opening of their very own pop-up travel agency offering local recommendations and events in Berlin and LA. This activation was in aid of the On Cloudaway launch, their latest flexible and ultra-light hybrid outdoors shoe that the Swiss company claim is ‘predestined for new travel experiences’. The Cloudaway Travel Agency was staffed by local experts who gave slow-travel ideas and local insider tips, plus hand-picked activities that could be booked on the spot. And best of all, free of charge to customers.

The ingenious little pop-up follows the success of a handful of On’s shoe launches such as last year’s launch of The Roger. A lifestyle sneaker co-designed with Tennis god, Roger Federer. Be it interactive live streams or real world activities, On have cemented themselves as a champion of shoe drops with simple but effective takes on their products and an understanding of the community that are likely to get on board each time.

NYSE Opening Bell

And following the success of recent years, this week On was officially listed on the New York Stock Exchange. To celebrate, around 100 runners, including all five co-founders, made their way through Manhattan and to Wall Street to ring the stock exchange’s iconic opening bell.

According to Highsnobiety, On hopes its listing on the NYSE will “help the brand keep its independence and continue its phase of hyper-growth into the future.” Unprecedented sales, big-name ambassadors plus continued innovation and creativity when it comes to products and their subsequent launches, make for a very exciting future indeed. In short, On Running have been absolutely killing it.
